Overview

Pooja is a corporate and insolvency practitioner, with extensive experience advising on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital funding, fund formation and registration, as well as complex insolvency resolutions. She brings a commercial and solutions-driven approach to general corporate advisory work across a wide spectrum of industries, including luxury fashion, healthcare, specialty chemical manufacturing, e-commerce, algorithmic trading, insurance, logistics, education, information technology, media, and satellite propulsion systems.

In 2024, Pooja was seconded with the Tokyo office of Nishimura & Asahi for six months. As a member of the India desk, she focused on multi-jurisdictional investment transactions, particularly strengthening Indo-Japan commercial ties and has a deep understanding of Japanese legal and business culture.

Pooja has advised on numerous inbound and outbound transactions, including joint ventures, market entry strategies and exit options and advisory for Indian and international clients. She has extensive experience supporting business leaders, established promoters, and entrepreneurs in both domestic and cross-border matters, with a strong track record of providing pragmatic and strategic counsel on structuring and crisis management.

Cross Border M&A, PE/VC Funding

Advised on acquisitions, investments and structuring for Indian and international clients. Apart from working on domestic and global corporate structures, her experience ranges from the inception of funds to investment at various different stages.

Insolvency

In the insolvency space, Pooja has acted in some of India’s more famous insolvency actions and has represented various stakeholders. She has also authored and published well-received monographs, articles, videos, and presentations on the subject matter.
